HEIDI GROONWALD

Based on her early interest in art, Heidi began traditional art lessons at the early age of eight. She continued her formal training, earning a Bachelor of Fine Art from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design.

After working as a freelance illustrator and on Walt Disney's Universal Theme Park, she realized her true heart was in the world of fine art. Accordingly, she moved to Arizona to study under her role model and cousin, Peggi Kroll-Roberts and Peggi's husband Ray Roberts. On their advice, she studied with numerous artists at the Scottsdale Artists' School.

Her involvement led to employment at the school, where she worked as Education Director and spent nearly eleven years dedicating herself to the instructors and students. While working at the school, Heidi met a host of well-known artists who have influenced her style and life. Through dedication and regular exhibitions of her work, Heidi has gained acceptance as a serious representational painter with a wide collector base throughout the United States and Europe.
